Folks, bring your umbrellas to tonight’s Austin Food + Wine Festival‘s Rock Your Taco Showdown. I’ve looked at five weather forecasts on various websites and each one has a different view on the possibility of thunderstorms tonight, ranging from 40% to 75% on their estimated chances of rain. You know how this works, right? Carry an umbrella in Austin and it’s guaranteed to be dry.
Also guaranteed tonight is delicious tacos, in ways you probably have never imagined. The whole quest of this event is for chefs to put their own creative spin on a taco, making the most delicious and unique taco possible. Last year’s winner, Richard Blais is going up against stiff competition including Hugh Acheson, Tyson Cole, Tim Love and Paul Qui. Every chef participating has a steller reputation for bringing forth seriously good food.
