I’ve been well pleased so far with this year’s Austin Food & Wine Festival. This year’s event is well worth the ticket price in that not only are you well fed and toasted, but you can’t help but become better educated on wine and other libations. I”ll post a more in-depth feature on the festival soon, but for now let me give you a highlight reel, in photos.

Kim Crawford Wine at the Casa Mariposa tent is and oasis, complete with a ping pong table and wine slushies. Delicious!

Chef Diego Galicia of San Antonio’s Mixtli offered up his version of a quesadilla, macaron-style. Taste sensation!

I’ve pretty much decided I’ll eat anything Chef Paul Qui hands me. Here he is with his crew at the Fire Pit.

Tipsy Texan David Allen and Qui’s Justin Elliot sampled the 2014 Official Drink of Austin – Tepache! Yes, please.
I’ll have more for you, soon. If you have never experienced the #AFWFest, I urge you to buy tickets for next year, as soon as they are on sale. This event has grown over the years into a culinary experience not to be missed.
